Senior Engineering Technician
Apply electrical and electronic theory to design, build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components.
Essential Job Functions:
Apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge, usually under the direction of engineering staff, to design, build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design decisions.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A High School Diploma or GED plus 12 years of experience is required.
An active Secret security clearance is required.
Completion of a technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology; or, completion of at least 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of course studies at an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum.
A total of at least 8 years of experience in performing the foregoing functions.
At least 2 years performing engineering/ technical functions with respect to in support of manufacturing of test and evaluation, aircraft systems, avionics systems or equivalent.
