Staff Scientist, Lead

Key Role:

Provide program development and strategy support to a DoD agency as part of a high performing, fast-paced team supporting multiple government clients. Provide technical advisory services to senior government officials for system-level technologies. Possess and apply advanced knowledge of the particular field of specialization for the evaluation of projects of major complexity. Evaluate novel concepts relevant to the customer mission in the areas of air, space, land, and maritime systems. Provide top-level technical analysis and assessment of new ideas for military utilities, technology risks, and cost impacts.

Basic Qualifications:

-15+ years of experience with one or more of the following: working in a lab, performing research, providing advisory assistance, or teaching or performing on an R&D effort

-10+ years of experience in a professional scientific work environment

-Ability to comprehend military technology area problems quickly
-Ability to troubleshoot technical problems quickly

-Top Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree in Physics or Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with supporting senior-level government officials

-Ability to commute to Arlington, VA

-Possession of excellent client service skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-PhD in Physics or Engineering preferred

Clearance:
