The Multifamily Production Associate will report to the Multifamily Production Director and will be responsible for assisting in the structuring and closing of seasoned structured pools of commercial residential real estate properties. The hired candidate will be responsible for data analysis, deal management, and business development/new initiatives. Candidate will be required to have a wide and comprehensive understanding of both general and specific aspects of the technical phases of the job, and company policies and principles to complete a wide range of deal management tasks. Deal management tasks include pricing, structuring, and management of various tasks and counterparts (legal, underwriting, securities operations) to ensure timely and accurate closing. Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be sensitive in nature. The position will work with various capital markets transactions that are employed by the Multifamily division.

Your work falls into three primary categories:

Project/Deal Management
  • Manage and monitor pipeline of deals in all stages of the process from quote submission to under term sheet. Pipeline management will require extensive updates and communication with external and internal customers. Associate will oversee pipeline and reporting.
  • Work on business development and new product initiatives which includes regular calls and meetings.

  • Screen, structure, quote, and close structured deals from a robust annual inflow pipeline. Quote process includes heavy analysis and identifying risks and providing mitigants.
  • Applying job knowledge, company policies and principles and critical thinking to complete assigned tasks accurately, completely, independently and in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with internal business partners, including Underwriting, Legal and Capital Markets, to resolve issues arise as they arise through the underwriting, commitment, and closing process.
  • Work closely with the partners to maximize efficiency and transparency throughout the quote process
  • High level of oral and written communication required.


  • Typically has a minimum of two years of Multifamily, commercial real estate finance, and/or Capital Markets experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related discipline and/or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • GSE lending experience and familiarity with Multifamily loan products preferred
