RF Systems Engineer Envoy is a boutique recruiting firm for technology talent and we are conducting a candidate search on behalf of a growing, entrepreneurial client. This company has been awarded 30 Patents for the advancement of spectrum monitoring and RF data management, enabling the capture and analysis of wideband spectrum data at the point of intercept for applications that deliver real-time situational awareness. They are located in Tysons Corner, VA and this is a perm hire with salary and benefits. The RF Systems Engineer role involves small, COTS software defined radio-based system requirements analysisdefinition as a member of a small team (6) of engineers developing requirements and specifications for a spectrum monitoring and reporting system, inclusive of drone detection, classification, and geolocation. The systems engineering team develops, decomposes, andor translates usersrsquo concepts of operations, usersrsquo needs, and top-level requirements into testable functional, performance and interface requirements. The systems engineering team synthesizes use cases and system analysisreporting requirements to ensure that delivered systems satisfy usersrsquo operational needs. The team will leverage applicable processes, and relevant analysesdesign tools. Frequent customer engagement and occasional short-term travel will be necessary. Minimum QualificationsExperience 10- 12 years of hands-on RF systems requirements analysisdefinition and design experience. Hands on systems engineering experience is required, inclusive of system verification planning. In-depth knowledge of software defined radio applications and associated downstream processing, both hardware and software, is required. Good oral presentation and written communication skills are required. Bachelor of Science in a related technical field, eg Electrical Engineering, is required. Desired QualificationsExperience Formal Systems Engineering education andor degree is desired. Advanced degree in a related technical field, eg Electrical Engineering, is desired.
