Senior Network Engineer
Core Responsibilities Responsible for the design, implementation, and operations of multiple clients networks (LANWAN), ranging in size from small office to service provider Manage, troubleshoot and repair advanced IP and MPLS networks, configuration and implementation of routing policy. Provide on-call support as an escalation point for a 247 operations center Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, and lead internal training sessions. Provide support to sales team to capture new business in a pre-sales role. Drive process improvement and increase value to our customers. Experience working within ITIL framework is a plus. Technical and Experience Requirements Work History 12 years of experience in a computer related field 10 years of progressive experience in planning, designing, implementation, and analyzing data or telecommunications networks CCNAJNCIS Required CCNPJNCIP Required CCIEJNCIE Preferred Security Preferred Associates or Bachelorrsquos Degree in a computer or engineering discipline Preferred Technical Skills Strong understanding of network routing protocols, including OSPF, ISIS, and BGP, with substantial experience in both implementation and architecture Experience working with MPLS protocols, including RFC4564 L3VPN and VPLS from both the carrier and customer side of the network. Experience implementing and managing networks with QoS, VoIP, Controller based Wireless, Point to Point Wireless, Spanning Tree Protocol, Metro Ethernet Forum standards, and DWDM concepts. Experience working with network management systems, including HPOV, Solarwinds Orion, Scrutinizer, and other similar tools. Experience implementing and troubleshooting IP multicast routing protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience with the operation of those protocols over carrier L3VPNs. Understanding of security concepts and best practices. Experience working within the ITIL Framework.
