Reporting to the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of HMSHost Corporation, the Vice President of Corporate Finance is responsible for setting strategy and overseeing business analysis, financial planning, mergers & acquisitions, treasury, risk management and lender/investor relations. This position partners with all departments within the organization, the senior leadership team of HMSHost and with the senior leadership team of the parent company, Autogrill. Business Analyses Oversight: *Analyze and report on consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual results and those of each operating segments as well as general & administrative expenses. *Provide recommendations for revenue and profitability improvement. *Develop priorities to improve productivity, efficiency and effectiveness. *Conduct industry and competitive analyses to identify and address the company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. *Working with Business Development, perform quarterly asset impairment analyses. *Working with Corporate Accounting, review lease disclosures for reasonableness, consistency and conformity with corporate policies. Financial Planning Oversight: *Develop and recommend budget targets and long-term strategic/financial plans. *Analyze budget and forecast submissions for accuracy, reasonableness and consistency with objectives. *Analyze capital investment proposals to ensure proposals conform to profitability, return and risk control. *Ensure investment practices are in compliance with established policies. Mergers & Acquisitions Oversight: *Perform analysis and valuation of acquisition targets or divestitures. *Working with Legal, negotiate M&A terms and conditions. *Oversee due diligence and integration of targets. Treasury Operations Oversight: *Execute Autogrill Treasury directives. *Oversee cash management activities including cash sweep, disbursement, borrowing and investing activities as well as renewals of banking, armored car, credit card processing agreements, etc. *Review short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to ensure company is properly funded. *Issue surety bonds and letters of credit, as required, and ensure company has sufficient capacity for future needs. *Manage private placements including submission of required compliance documentation and transfers of notes. *Working with Autogrill Treasury and Corporate Tax, develop intercompany lending and interest rate strategies. *Working with Autogrill Treasury and Corporate Accounting, review compliance with hedge accounting principles. *Develop new payment strategies to maximize customer experience and reduce overall fees. Risk Management Oversight: *Oversee all insurance programs including annual renewals of policies to provide the optimal coverage at the lowest possible cost. *Document and analyze all potential risks and associated financial impacts required for Autogrill risk management reporting. Lender and Investor Relations Oversight: *Maintain relationships with banking institutions, insurance companies and potential investors. *Prepare business update presentations for lenders and investors. Requirements *Requires a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration or other advanced degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting. *Requires 10+ years of progressive finance and/or accounting experience. *Requires a strategic thinker that demonstrates leadership, vision and insight. *Requires a hands-on manager with a strong finance background. *Requires strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. *Requires experience preparing presentations and presenting to senior executives and/or boards of directors. *Requires experience developing complex financial models and writing and reviewing complex proposals. *Requires excellent mathematical and accounting skills. *Previous experience in the leisure and hospitality industry preferred.
