We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to manage and oversee the Company's accounting functions. The ideal candidate must possess key qualities, such as excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced and challenging environment. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Accounting and helps drives the financial statement close process, including oversight of all general accounting functions and both internal and external reporting, while ensuring adherence to company accounting policies and internal controls. The position will manage a team of accountants and will work cross-functionally to lead and deliver on organizational objectives.Supervise, track and evaluate the monthly financial close process, including oversight and coordination of all accounting roles and responsibilities Ensure completeness, proper analysis and documentation of account reconciliations, financial results, fluctuations and supportOversight of fixed assets, both book and tax measurement, payroll and accounts payableExecute, and where necessary design, internal controls as well as supervise all audit-related testing and supportMonitor and analyze department work to provide recommendations and develop more efficient procedures and use of resources, while maintaining a high level of accuracyEffectively and efficiently motivate, manage and utilize staffActively work on a wide range of finance projects involving data, systems and processesReview required filings including but not limited to personal property tax, 941s and 1099sMeet other financial accounting objectives as neededBachelors in Accounting required5+ years of experience in a financial close processPreferable 1+ years of supervisory experience within a Finance or Accounting Department, preferably within a large company environmentStrong knowledge of US GAAP with strong General Accounting skillsA high level of proficiency in Excel requiredHighly organized and able to multi-taskAbility to meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced, results-oriented environmentAn ability to partner with non-accounting stakeholders to provide analysis and supportA team player with a positive attitudeExperience with Great Plains preferred Intersections and its subsidiaries participate in E-Verify.
