Job Summary: The purpose of a Systems Administrator is to provide routine network, server and computer support for all computers in a fully Macintosh environment. Work requires scheduled tasks, ad hoc requests and emergency support. Job Responsibilities: Installing and troubleshooting new and updated software Installing and troubleshooting new hardware Performance trouble shooting and ongoing minor maintenance (eg, adding memory / replacing hard drives, etc.) on hardware components Managing and supporting G-Suite email and other hosted services Maintain and expand usage of existing Jamf MDM solution and connected Active Directory server Managing all day to day IT purchasing Developing, deploying & maintaining OS X baseline for all new computers / servers Research & Development of IT projects, including, but not limited to: Computers, Software, Hardware, Networking (Meraki VPN and Firewalls) & Video Conferencing a€" and then the ongoing support and maintenance of those components Assisting in the planning and networking of all new office locations Performing updates, patches & restarts to all servers & workstations Setting up and maintaining all computer and server backup capabilities Working one-on-one effectively with end-user's to resolve their Help Desk Service requests On-boarding / off-boarding of technology systems and services for all employees Managing systems, services and employees with appropriately secure access Maintaining and updating of inventory tracking databases Maintaining network environment including network & wireless hubs, firewalls & routers Monitoring technology components for correct and optimal performance Documenting of all major processes falling within your area of responsibility Configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting cloud hosted Crashplan backup system Manage, provision and troubleshoot cloud hosted VoIP solution, including vendor maintenance support coordination Effectively support a growing remote user base Skill Sets / Capabilities: Ability to effectively support a challenging user base with a customer focused approach Ability to work alone, or as a team member to achieve goals Ability to effectively / efficiently manage daily workload / priorities Strong & clear written and verbal communications skills Strong analytical / analysis / organizational skills Driven approach to achieving goals Pride in workmanship / results Requirements: 5 years of experience in Mac OSX hardware and Operating systems in a near 100% Mac environment Experience with G-Suite for Business, Mobile Device Management (MDM) and cloud backup solutions Education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.
