  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment phsyical examination.
  • Must possess computer skills and map reading skills.
  • Rotating Shifts: Work requires 12 hour rotating shifts which includes days, nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Required to wear a uniform.
  • Mission Essential: Required to report to work regardless of weather conditions, Terrorist Force Protection Conditions, Installation Closure. You must report on time.
  • Work is performed in a highly stressful, restricted office environment.
  • Must obtain/maintain certification in First-Aid and CPR.
  • Must meet established hearing and vision tests. Must be able to distinquish colors.
  • May be requried to work overtime.
  • Must obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must successfully complete Emergency Medical Dispatch, Emergency Police Dispatch, Emergency Fire Dispatch and National Crime Information Center training within nine (9) months of hire.
  • Must successfully complete DoD Hazardous Materials Awareness, DoD Telecommunicator I and II and Maryland State Police Criminal Justice Information System Certification within nine (9) months of hire.
  • Must attain continuous dispatch education hours and Intrusion Detection education requirements through in-service training that is offered locally.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid State Drivers License.
  • Position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing for the duration of employment in this position.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.     You may qualify if you possess 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-05 grade level or equivalent. Specialized experience includes providing emergency police, fire and medical services to the public by answering emergency 911 calls; dispatching appropriate personnel and equipment to the emergency; monitoring fire alarm and intrusion detection alarm systems.
