TRAVEL REQUIRED:

Occasional travel - Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel is required 10% of the time to develop policy guidance, oversee Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) program development, defense, and execution for the Civil Works program activities.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which includes: developing legislation, policy guidance and overseeing program development to influence and defend the Civil Works budget to justify resources essential to mission accomplishment; analyzing, evaluating and coordinating funding, authorizations and appropriations requirements for studies, planning, design, construction and operations and maintenance of projects; monitoring legislative actions as it relates to the Civil Works Water Resource Programs and functional areas of flood risk management, navigation, ecosystem restoration, research and development and environmental and economic impacts; and communicating to persuade, justify, support, defend, and advocate for organization, administration policies, Civil Works Budget, authorizations and appropriations and programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
