Systems Administrator, Senior

The Challenge:

Your combination of people skills and technical expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting national defense? We're looking for a systems administrator with a solid background in Windows and Linux systems and networks to help us deploy Cybersecurity software capabilities in the intelligence community (IC).

As a systems administrator on our project, you'll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available, constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies, and update and patch critical systems while also providing end user support. You'll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. You'll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like virtualization, scripting, and automation. We focus on growing as a team, so you'll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you'll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. Join our team and solve daily challenges as we improve the defense of our world.

Upgrade and maintain a lab environment, identify and diagnose IT Infrastructure or user issues, and triage user requests for system and network problems. You will maintain responsibility for keeping a pulse on industry trends and applying it to product, as necessary. You will also perform Windows or Linux system setup and management for both physical and virtual operation systems (OS), including provisioning, configuration, patching and update management, platform securing, and hardening. You will be providing manual and automated system management across widely dispersed Windows and Linux systems. Your role will also administer and configure virtual machines and VM clusters hosted in VMWare ESXi.

Empower change with us.
