Cyber Systems Engineer, Junior

Key Role:
Participate in analyzing, engineering, integrating, implementing, testing, deploying, maintaining, reviewing, and administering the infrastructure, hardware, and software required to manage the security and risk posture of the network and resources effectively under general supervision. Assist with applying the systems engineering life cycle to translating strategic Cyber objectives, technology, and environmental conditions into engineering outcomes and solutions. Assist with selecting and applying processes and methodologies to meet Cyber performance objectives. Assist with configuring Cyber systems to meet user requirements. Support the acquisition of hardware and software, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Knowledge of security principles, approaches, and technologies
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required
-Scheduled to obtain a BA or BS degree in Winter 2018 or Spring 2019

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working on software development projects, including end-to-end life-cycle and test engineering or QA

-Experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of IT resources, including Windows, Linux, VMware, and network software products

-Experience with O/S languages and language packs and Cybersecurity products, including anti-virus and endpoint security variants and methods

-Experience with database formats, queries, structures, and schema

-Knowledge of operating systems at the administrative or kernel level

-Knowledge of firmware or embedded systems, networking protocols, routing, and firewalls

-Knowledge of software vulnerabilities and exploits

-Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
-Ability to be self-motivated
-Ability to multi-task with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
-Possession of excellent time management and organizational skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
