Job Summary:

Westat is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our corporate accounting team, reporting to the Accounting Manager for Billing.  This individual will perform various accounting and billing reviews utilizing the Deltek Costpoint accounting system and will be responsible for providing specialized reports to senior management.

Job Responsibilities:

· Perform monthly reconciliations of billed and unbilled receivables. · Prepare monthly accounts receivable aging analysis and reports. · Initiate indirect rate adjustments and prepare final closeout invoices. · Ensure accounts receivable related system utilities are updated on a timely basis. · Work to improve the efficiency, usefulness and effectiveness of accounts receivable functions and internal controls. · Examine reports, verify accuracy of computations and uniform application of policies, procedures, and acceptable accounting standards.

Basic Qualifications:

· A high school degree or G.E.D. equivalent, plus 10 years of experience performing accounts receivable tasks in a government contracting environment or a  bachelor's degree, plus 7 years of experience performing accounts receivable related tasks is required.
Candidates must have extensive knowledge of Costpoint's accounts receivable and billing modules, as well as federal billing requirements for Cost Reimbursement, T&M and Firm Fixed Price type contracts.  Working knowledge of Costpoint's project module, including project setup. Familiarity with Costpoint's AP module and other accounting related experience. Proficiency using Microsoft Office products.   The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, possess strong organization and communication skills and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
