Accounting/Finance Co-op positions are available at numerous operatingcompanies within Consumer, Medical Devices and Diagnostics, and thePharmaceutical Sectors, as well as Johnson & Johnson CorporateHeadquarters. These positions may be located in: California (Irvine);Massachusetts (Raynham); New Jersey (Bridgewater, New Brunswick,Raritan, Skillman, Somerville, Titusville, Princeton); Pennsylvania(Fort Washington, Horsham, Spring House, West Chester); Texas (SanAngelo); New Mexico (Albuquerque); Ohio (Cincinnati). The Co-op Program is a six-month program focused on providing collegestudents with practical business experience. It allows them to developleadership technical and communication skills as well as broaden theirunderstanding of the concepts learned in school and "get a taste of thereal world" before they are fully committed to it. The Co-op programparticipants will be better able to apply concepts learned in theclassroom and will be able to ask more poignant questions of theirprofessors to further their goals and education. The Co-op program is the primary feeder for entrance into Johnson & Johnson's FinanceLeadership Development Program (FLDP). The Financial LeadershipDevelopment Program (FLDP) is a two-year program designed specificallyto prepare future generations of business leaders within the Johnson &Johnson accounting and finance organization. Participants gaininvaluable on-the-job experiences during two rotations just under twelvemonths, at various J&J business units; receive leadership and technicaltraining, and thorough, recurring evaluations. There are six weeks oftraining over the course of the two-year program. Training covers allareas and competencies that are critical to success at J&J and isdelivered through a combination FLDP leadership, J&J executives, Financemanagement, and external consultants. Co-op program participant roles include financial accounting andanalysis, sales & marketing finance, operations finance, and researchand development finance. Specific responsibilities may include budgetsupport (administration, finance, information management, operations,sales & marketing finance, etc.), capital budgeting, financialconsolidation, month/year end closing procedures, sales reporting andanalysis, account reconciliation, and inter-company accounting. Othercommon tasks include analysis of financial questions and problems (ie Regression and Trend Analysis), problem solving, active businesspartnering and developing innovative methods to improve job metrics andprocesses.
