SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: This position requires extensive, direct, hands-on experience with space flight hardware fabrication, assembly, and integration; inspection of space flight hardware critical dimensions using Coordinated Measurement Machines (CMM) and other measurement devices, and all aspects of thermal-vacuum testing including facility operation, maintenance, and repair

In addition to the selective placement factor above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NR-02 pay band (GS-05/028 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1) fabrication, assembly, and integration of mechanical systems, aerospace/spacecraft structures, and support hardware; 2) utilizing Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) to perform inspections of mechanical and aero-mechanical hardware; 3) operating, maintaining, and repairing test equipment to include vacuum chambers, roughing pumps, cryogenic pumps, helium compressors, and liquid nitrogen supply systems; 4) modifying standard operating procedures and practices, and adapting specialized equipment to solve a variety of mechanical and spacecraft fabrication problems.

Education Substitution:
