  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
  • Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level (or equivalent) providing guidance and advice on Federal civilian labor and employee relations operations and policies. This experience must include: providing advice to management officials on the application of employee and labor relations statutes; serving as an advisor on the preparation and delivery of adverse and performance based actions; conducting fact finding to provide necessary context and resolve disputes; Independently researching, interpreting and applying laws, policies and precedents in Title 5 of the Code of Federal Regulations, US Code, case law related to employee conduct and performance and discipline; AND/OR assisting in the development of performance standards.

    Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level.

    You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
