Freddie Mac has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Information Security, Technical Lead within the Platform Security Technology group to work on cutting edge technologies to lead, design and implement new security tools & services.

Security Administration
* Lead the Security Administration team by applying the Information Security principles, theories, concepts, tools and FreddieMac standards
* Lead POC efforts, engineer new solution and document SOP
* Setup and maintain centralized configuration for security tools to streamline various operational duties.
* Support security best practices in AWS including Cloud Formation Templates
* Coordinate with the larger InfoSec team to support automation and best practices as needed
* Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions and strategies
* Learn and adapt new tools and technologies and implement them for enterprise adoption in accordance with Freddie Mac operational and security standards

* As the principal engineer of the team, nurturing junior engineers is a requirement
* Support the retention and growth of existing talent
* Utilize strong communication to keep leadership informed and aware
* Be a role model and technical mentor to the junior and midlevel engineers, work alongside of highly collaborative, open minded, technology savvy and dedicated team members

* Problem solving with repeatable processes
* Develop proper documentation of automated processes to support and enable collaboration
* Ensure processes reflect our technical obligations of system uptime and performance
* Presentation of metrics and other attributes to convey accomplishments


* Typically has more than 8 years of related experience
* Good working knowledge of various AWS Security offerings, DLP, SailPoint, and CyberArk
* Experience with scripting languages such as BASH, BladeLogic, PowerShell etc.
* Experience with Splunk's search syntax and how to extract data with a Splunk query
* Experience with AWS best practices and policies
* Experience with Kubernetes & Docker is a big plus
* Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault and automating secrets distribution
* Experience communicating status to leadership and other relevant stakeholders

* AWS Certified Security - Specialty,
* Experience with Cloud Custodian, CloudTrail and other means of extracting data from public cloud providers
