Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer. Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following The candidate is responsible for analyzing and developing navigation systems, satellite payload and radio frequency uplink requirements The candidate is responsible for the development of Statement of Work and other procurement related documents to support new acquisitions The candidate should be able to apply software, hardware, and standards (domestic and international) knowledge in the analysis, specification, development, integration, and acquisition of systems for navigation services The candidate will ensure these systems are compliant with FAA standards The candidate is responsible for evaluating and recommending process for configuration management, safety, reliability, maintainability, integrity and other system engineering disciplines to improve navigation services The candidate will coordinate effectively with domestic and international community on Satellite-Based Augmentation System requirements and standards The candidate will work with customers on upcoming and evolving technologies on navigation systems and will collaborate with reputed universities and other research institutions The candidate will manage research conducted on these efforts The candidate will conduct studies and analysis for navigation services and provides data, information, databases and other products The candidatersquos work may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements and difficult coordination requirements The candidatersquos work may also include generation of technical report, strategy documents, white papers, presentations and other documents as required The candidate must have thorough understanding of project management The candidate will plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the systems engineering processes or scientific work in a project and performs work that involves conventional engineering or scientific practice The candidate will support the development and maintenance and improvement of system engineering in the Navigation Services Directorate and evaluate technical and operational requirements for systems and services in the FAA National Airspace System The candidate must be comfortable communicating directly with the customer The candidate must work well within a team environment and have excellent collaborative skills The successful candidate will have Bachelorrsquos degree in ElectricalElectronics Engineering, Physics or related discipline. Masterrsquos degree in a principle or related discipline may substitute for 2 years of relevant experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent standards body. A minimum of 10 years of experience in system engineering andor satellite engineering in the aerospace or related industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills The following qualifications are preferred Masterrsquos degree in ElectricalElectronics Engineering, Physics or related discipline. Experience working with educational institutions and research and development organizations Experience working on federal contracts. Familiarity with Ground Earth Stations and GPS Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitor (RAIM) Familiarity with DOORS, Microsoft Project and Visio Tetra Tech is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we value workplace diversity.
