Job Summary PURPOSE: To provide overall PC, network, and maintenance support for Retail.net architecture. SCOPE: Provides maintenance and support tasks for Ratner Companies' salon infrastructure, including second level support for voice/data and IP connectivity issues. Responsible for the overall Ratner's salon Telecom systems (phone&Internet). Also responsible for implementation and project management of new or upgrading the existing telecom (voice&data). Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot Voice and data circuit including but not limited to DSL, T1, Broadband (cable, fiber, fios, u-verse etc) Strong Routing and Switching configuration. Recommends new products, services, and policies that integrate with our Retail POS infrastructure. Supports new POS product evaluation and integration, network hardware and software system testing, involved in strategic planning, and emerging technology investigation. Analyze salon telecom systems issues and determine the best technical solution. Serves as a technical point of contact for our local carriers (Verizon, ATT, Comcast etc) and Data management&MPLS provider GTT. Also assist Maintenance Technicians and our Help Desk Associates. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide second level support for problems relating to personal computers, printer and other peripherals. Install/maintain/enhance personal computers, servers, and other network devices components Maintain/enhance PC security, backups and virus protection. Participate in desktop/network hardware and software upgrade planning and implementation and other IT projects Interact with all levels of Associates and vendors to resolve network related issues/ problems. Build and maintain the corporate desktops images and other desktop deployments. On-call and travel required as needed including nights, weekends, and holidays. Basic application scripting background LAN Desk reporting and deployment experience Able to troubleshoot telecommunications protocols and technologies Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical persons Ability to work with minimal guidance and direction Remains current on technological developments and applications, for product evaluations and recommendations Technical contact for all Salon Telecom System's. Coordinate the installation and replacement of equipment/connectivity for salon openings, closing, and replacements.
