Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc.'s Financial Operations Directorate oversees all financial planning and management activities for the Frederick National Lab for Cancer Research (FNLCR), sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst II to be a part of our Financial Planning and Analysis team at our Frederick, MD location. Financial Analyst II: Develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control Will complete budget development, financial planning and analysis of project budgets, manage budget changes and cost tracking Will be responsible for financial project reporting and direct contact and financial support to both Directorate and Division customers Will provide scheduled and Adhoc reporting and forecasting against budgets, funding and ceilings, and preparation of cost estimates, development of price structures while applying cost accounting principles BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Possession of a Bachelor's degree in business/accounting or related field from an accredited college or university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education). Foreign degrees must be evaluated for US equivalency In addition to the education requirements, a minimum of three (3) years of related experience in financial project planning and analysis Must be able to obtain and maintain a clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of appropriate government contracting regulations and various contract types, indirect cost pools, forward pricing, Deltek financial software, Microsoft Office suite Knowledge of general accounting, financial management and project control concepts; strong analytical skills; intermediate to advanced excel and database skills/abilities; familiarity with government contracting; solid communication skills and ability to multi-task in complex/dynamic operating environment Excellent communication skills Intermediate to advanced level of experience in use of spreadsheets, databases, and financial planning tools Ability to support multiple programs and process multiple tasks with a proven ability to collect and analyze information in a complex and dynamic operating environment Must possess strong customer service orientation, including both internal and external customers Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) | Minority/Female/Disabled/Veteran (M/F/D/V) | Drug Free Workplace (DFW)
