Accounting Technician (Criminal Division/Special Proceedings)

To qualify for this position, you must submit the following:

A High School diploma or GED plus five (5) years experience in accounting related tasks, including cash handling and bookkeeping or similar field within an office environment. Must be proficient in excel.
* Preferred - Bachelor's degree in financial management, business administration or a related field plusone (1) year of experience in accounting related tasks, including cash handling and bookkeeping or similar field within an office environment.
Knowledge and understanding of basic cash handling best practices, regulations and precedents sufficient to interpret and apply in various accounting and cash handling situations is required.
Must be able to key data quickly and with accuracy, and be proficient in the use of spreadsheet software (Microsoft products preferred) and Adobe Acrobat.
Please note that authorization for the release of your adult criminal record revealing any convictions and forfeitures, and any criminal cases currently pending before the courts are required. If you are selected for the position, a criminal history records check will be conducted.
To qualify based on education, upload copy of your college transcript or degree. The transcript must show the name of the college or university, your name, list of courses with credit hours, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking.
Foreign Education: Education completed outside the United States must have been evaluated by a private U.S. organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign educational credentials, commonly called a credential evaluation service or education to meet the above requirements.

Please note there is a mandatory one year probationary period for all non-judicial new employees.
