    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience that includes managing, supervising, leading a staff, assigning work, and setting priorities.  Experience managing a decentralized workforce.  Experience providing outreach to various external networks such as local news media, community organizations, leaders, and government officials.  Experience communicating with internal management, training individuals and groups on recruiting techniques and strategies for hard to recruit locations.  Experience implementing and monitoring a recruitment campaign to ensure large volumes of applicants apply within a specific geographic location.

    EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in any area with Superior Academic Achievement OR one full year of graduate education directly related to the position.

    You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

    • Ability to lead, supervise and assign work, set priorities, coordinate, plan and oversee subordinate staff.
    • Ability to communicate and interact with people with various levels of responsibility, while presenting information clearly and logically.
    • Skill working with local news media, community leaders and organizations as well as local government officials to promote community cooperation and generate support for recruitment efforts.
    • Ability to train individuals and groups.
    • Skill implementing and monitoring recruitment campaigns.
