Overview:

Sentara Healthcare is currently recruting for a Full Time Regional Human Resources Director to be based out of our Sentara Independence location. Position Overview

  • Responsible for partnering with division executive leadership teams to develop, lead and manage division people-related strategy with shared responsibility for goal achievement.
  • Drives Human Resource practices, processes and initiatives that support division strategic objectives.
  • Solves complex challenges through people-related solutions.
  • Partners with Centers of Expertise (COE’s) to design and execute strategy.
  • Maintains advanced level of business literacy of division financial position, midrange plans, culture and competition.

    Seven (7) years progressive experience in managing people, processes and resources achieving identified goals and objectives. Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines to include compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and labor relations, diversity, performance management, and Federal/State employment laws. SPHR, Healthcare experience and masters degree preferred.

    Required to hold a Masters degree within two years of selection for position. Must currently be an active student and/or enroll within 30 days of selection in a Masters level program. (Agreement required.). A proven track record of significant process change/organizational improvement is required.

    Responsibilities:

    The Regional Director of Human Resources provides regional leadership and oversight of Human Resource and Talent Support of the HR Business Partner Team, and leads and supports strategic initiatives with division and corporate executive teams within the region and beyond. The position manages and directs design and coordination of the HR Business Partner model processes and workflows with other Regional partners and is responsible for high quality services and outcomes across their areas of responsibility. The position is responsible for championing the engagement of Shared Services, Centers of Expertise and HR Senior Leaders in meeting business objectives. It will be the responsibility of the Regional Director to develop and maintain an advanced level of business literacy of their region¿s financial position, midrange plans, culture and competition. The Regional Director of Human Resources will have responsibility for at least one division/corporate function and will oversee HR Business Partner team members of no fewer than 3 additional divisions/corporate functions.
