The System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installationconfiguration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, and its related infrastructure. Must have strong communication and documentation skills flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the System Administration field positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently must be a team player and able to coach junior level administrators ability to effectively elicitprovide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to users, supervisors, interdepartmental staff IT) via strong communication skills. EDUCATION andor EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience 5 or more years of experience in the field Required experience in the following technologies VMWare serverESXi management Linux server administration, including multi-server patch management Active Directory, Group Policy and related Windows Server administration tasks File-level and server-level backup and restore procedures (Veeam experience a plus) Server and Desktop hardware specing, installation and maintenance Common server technologies such as DNS, Firewalls, Certificates, DHCP, SSH, Web servers (IISApacheTomcat) Preferred experience in the following technologies Office 365 management SCCM or related Microsoft patch management and application deployment Monitoring alerting such as Nagios, iLO, iDRAC Mac desktop management troubleshooting Inventory systems, budgeting and lifecycle management
