Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities: The NOAA Systems Engineering and Technical Services (SETS) program provides enterprise systems engineering support to the NOAA satellite ground systems and collected data. NOAA operates geostationary satellites, low elliptical and high elliptical satellites. NOAA shares data with many countries. We are seeking a Chief Engineer for the NOAA SETS program. The selected Engineer will lead all the engineering tasks on the program. There are approximately 50 engineers performing (on average) six different but related projects. The Chief Engineer interfaces with the Government leadership at the Senior Director level and the Government project level and ensures through oversight the SETS team is performing the necessary tasks and the desired quality to achieve the intended results. The Chief Engineer also participates in planning for the Government and the program. The Chief Engineer's direct reports will be comprised of the Lead staff on the program. Qualifications: Requirements: * Requires BS in Engineering, Computer Science or other related technical discipline. If you hold BS degree, 16+ years' experience with enterprise architectures and integration of Ground Systems is required. If you hold a MS degree, 14+ years' experience is required. * Requires minimum of 6 years' experience leading integration efforts, must be extensively familiar with the systems engineering processes. * Requires demonstrated expertise with Ground Systems. * US Citizenship required. * Eligibility for a Public Trust Tier-1 Clearance (similar to DoD Secret).
