Position Objective Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a? Manager, Accounting & Finance ? Essential Job Functions The Manager, Accounting & Finance?plans, directs and supervises accounting activities within the organization by performing the following duties: Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Plans, directs and supervises corporations financial affairs to include financial reporting; oversees tax compliance and cost accounting; develops internal process to effectively monitor accounting system. Assists executives with strategic business planning; initiates process for annual budgeting and planning; establishes and maintains all corporate policies related to accountingmatters. Administers and maintains all corporate financial records including books of original entry, supporting schedules and subsidiary ledgers; monitors accounts on computer fordiscrepancies. Collects and analyzes corporate financial data to provide management with internal reports; establishes and maintains cost accountingstandards. Supports all levels of the corporation in budget preparation through training; provides relevant information whenappropriate. Reconciles corporations bank account on a monthly basis; prepares and analyzes monthly financial statements within requiredtimeline. Maintains all records relating to fixed assets orliabilities. Compiles, verifies and reports payroll information to payroll processingservice. Reviews and analyzes project budget and controls the distribution of projectfunding. Administers the distribution of funds for employee reimbursements; prepares checks for payment tovendors. Manages accounts payable functions by classifying, encoding, and recordingexpenses. Manages accounts receivable by generating invoices, records and applying cashreceipts. Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications Education/Experience:? Bachelor's degree (B. A.} from four-year college or university; and six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability:? Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Math Ability:? Abilitytoworkwithmathematicalconceptssuchasprobabilityandstatisticalinference,andfundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practicalsituations. Reasoning Ability:? Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills: Toperformthisjobsuccessfully,an individual shouldhaveknowledgeofMicrosoftWord;MicrosoftExcel; accounting software; fixed asset software and project managementsoftware. Supervisory Responsibilities:? Directly supervises employees in the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Cost Accounting Departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees: addressing complaints and resolving problems.
