Location: US-MD-Elkridge ID: 2018-1924 of Openings: 1 Category: Technician Shift: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Overview Alban CAT, the Caterpillar dealer for the mid-Atlantic Region is accepting applications for a Shop Technician II - Truck for our Elkridge branch. Responsibilities The Shop Technician II - Truck is responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing medium and heavy duty trucks. Applies troubleshooting techniques and determines proper repair procedures on minor complaints. Assists in the diagnosis and repair of regeneration systems on trucks. Assists in the diagnosis of major failures and coolant and lubrication system complaints. Performs tune-ups, valve adjustments and overhauls on medium and heavy duty diesel engines. Disassembles, inspects and determines parts needed and reassembles to factory specifications. Interprets and uses information from operating, maintenance and service manuals. Prepares parts requisitions, parts returns and completes service reports. Uses a computer to assist in diagnosing and reprogramming engines. Qualifications Minimum of five years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing medium and heavy duty truck chassis and diesel engines. Must have mechanical aptitude and good troubleshooting skills with an ability to logically and effectively proceed through troubleshooting sequences. Must be able to navigate through computer programs. CDL License preferred.
