HireStrategy is working with a client in the L'Enfant Plaza area looking to bring on a Senior Windows Systems Administrator. In this role you will be responsible for services and manage, operate and maintain Windows servers at a customer site. Senior Level hands-on knowledge of Windows server administration is required for this position. This position requires 11 years relevant work experience as a Windows systems administrator with an IT equipment vendor, service provider, or a data center. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Windows Server infrastructure. Responsibilities bull Maintain and manage servers, hardware, software, and network components. bull Perform backup and recovery bull Perform imaging of servers utilizing common imaging tools. bull Perform patching, security hardening, and automated deployments. bull Monitor help desk issues, performs troubleshooting and issue resolution. bull Document all service processes, procedures, and system configuration in a document repository bull Work directly with the customer to ensure the customerrsquos IT needs are met bull Evaluate hardware and software, with the goal of improving and increasingly automating operations Education Degree in Computer Science or related field which includes at least 30 semester hours in a combination of Math, Science, or Physics Skills bull Have a current Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Windows Server 12 or equivalent bull Minimum of 11 years of related experience bull Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance bull Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with the customer. bull Ability to be on-call after hours bull Experience with Active Directory bull Windows Server 2012 or greater bull Remote Desktop Services (Login and Security), bull PowerShell scripting bull Windows Task Scheduler bull Experience working in a primarily virtualized environment Candidates MUST BE eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
