Be Part of Something Greater Summary The Manager of value based care directs and coordinates activities within UM Physician Network (UM PN) for Quality Management Services. This position reports directly to the Director of Ambulatory Quality and Safety at UMMS Quality Management. The Manager is responsible for providing effective leadership and program direction organization wide related to MIPS/MACRA and is responsible for the ongoing development, coordination, and facilitation of implementation, training, and testing methodologies for the company's value based care initiatives by analyzing practice patterns and payer data. Responsibilities/Tasks The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. These are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified. Current working knowledge and understanding of ambulatory quality reporting. Uses audit results and feedback to identify deficiencies in test plan, training needs, processes, data quality, and operational performance. Works with executive champions and leaders to facilitate performance improvement work teams to achieve timely results consistent with strategic and operational goals. Ensures office practice teams / clinical leaders develop implement actionable plans for targeted quality measures. Follow-up to ensure sustainability of improvements - moving metric into "stable monitoring mode" when appropriate with routine, scheduled oversight. Collaborates with Quality Director to maintain an updated repository of quality resources that can be shared (PQRS, MIPS, HEDIS, PCMH, CMS, MU). Forges and maintain relationships with Epic Portfolio Community team to collaboratively identify and plan Epic clinical systems and policies as they affect quality reporting. What You Need to Be Successful: Education Bachelors degree in health-related field is required. Equivalent experience with ambulatory quality measures or meaningful use may be substituted for educational requirement. Experience Three (3) years of related experience in ambulatory operations is required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of MIPS, MACRA, PCMH, HEDIS Knowledge of Center of Medicare/Medicaid Services, Managed Care and other external regulatory agencies. Expert knowledge in EPIC and data abstraction, attestation and data validation. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of all quality and safety related or other reported issues.
