  • Obtain and maintain a State Motor Vehicle Operator License, Commercial Drivers License (CDL) (P) endorsement along with a good driving record. Employee has 90 days to obtain a Commercial Drivers License from the date of entry on duty
  • May to required to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • The incumbent will be subject to a physical and drug testing both prior to hire and periodically thereafter.
  • Overtime is required.
  • Rotating shifts.
  • Operate vehicles day or night in all types of traffic and weather conditions for all shifts.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.

    Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR without more than normal supervision; Operating 12-25 passenger vehicles with either manual (standard) or automatic transmission; determining the shortest and safest route because of critical time schedules, and recognizing potential maintenance problems while performing operator inspections. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

    • PHYSICAL EFFORT: Light to moderate physical effort is required in operating, turning, backing, and controlling vehicles which carry heavier loads due to the number of passengers. Moderate physical effort may be required in the handling of objects weighing up to 20 pounds and occasional handling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • WORKING CONDITIONS: Operates vehicles day or night in all types of traffic and weather conditions for all shifts. Operator is subject to cuts, bruises, and other injuries as a result of accident while driving vehicles. Must agree to work any of three shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) with proper notification. If required, must agree to wear government provided uniform while operating vehicles. If required to work overtime, must agree to do so and will be compensated at the authorized overtime rate.

    • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
    • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
    • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
    • Direct deposit of pay is required.
