Molecular Memory Scientist/Engineer

Key Role:
Provide scientific, engineering, and technical assistance (SETA) support to the government program manager (PM) in the science of molecular memory, including the storage of information using molecular species versus conventional media, such as magnetic and solid state. Assimilate and integrate technical input from performers and analyze performers' technical deliverables and reports. Develop technical documents, briefing materials, and other program documents using Microsoft Office applications. Conduct independent review and summary of technical literature and emerging technologies. Develop and document testing methodology and protocols while ensuring they align with program technology components and assess performer results against program metrics. Coordinate, align, and schedule technology development tasks across multiple performers. Monitor and analyze performer technical progress in comparison to planned cost and schedule and perform technical and programmatic risk analysis or review and tracking. 
 

Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with established tools for polymer synthesis, chemical or enzymatic DNA synthesis, nanopore, or mass spec sequencing
-Experience with program management and its associated processes and toolsets, including risk matrices and budgets
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-MA or MS degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, or Computational Science
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in the nanofabrication of CMOS chips with integrated microfluidics, including using flip-chip bonding, molecular modeling and simulation, or codinq theory preferred
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including writing concisely, speaking persuasively, and conveying technical and scientific issues to people with varying levels of expertise accurately
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph preferred
-Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or Computational Science preferred
