Fleet Safety Manager

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for overseeing and administering the client's commercial fleet safety and training program, including monitoring drug and alcohol testing, tracking safety training documentation, producing performance metrics, reviewing driver's license, and implementing safe driving initiatives. Maintain responsibility for investigating accidents and make judgement calls of safe motor vehicle operators. Maintain responsibility for working in logistics' fleet car management.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience in a professional work environment

-Experience with working in logistics' fleet car or truck management and learning about commercial trucking

-Experience with maintaining detailed records
-Knowledge of the US Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, OSHA regulations, state and federal traffic laws, and safety programs and policies

-Ability to administer fleet safety program, including monitoring drug and alcohol testing, tracking safety training documentation, producing performance metrics, reviewing driver's license, and implementing safe driving initiatives

-Ability to investigate and analyze accidents and mishaps to determine if operator negligence was a factor

-Ability to observe, interview, and make sound judgement of safe motor vehicle operators

-Ability to manage forklift training and documentation program

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required

-HS diploma or GED required

Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree preferred
