Certified Athletic Trainer

George Mason University, a NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Atlantic-10 Athletic Conference, is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, 12 month administrative professional positions for a Certified Athletic Trainer (or Associate Athletic Trainer should prior experience qualify applicant for this title).

This position assists in the daily operation and duties of the Athletic Training Facilities. Team assignments are determined by Head Athletic Trainer and may include Womens basketball among other assignments.

Incumbent will also provide supervision of resident athletic trainers working with other athletic teams and clinical instruction and supervision of athletic training students in educational programs.

Required Qualifications:

• MA or MS Degree in Related Field at time of employment;
• NATABOC Certification and eligibility for Virginia licensure.
• Virginia license required at date of employment.
• Professional rescuer CPR/AED Certification
• Extensive domestic and possible international travel duties - ability to travel internationally required at time of employment. Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in intercollegiate athletics, particularly in injury prevention and rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated experience in Division I Womens basketball.
