ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TS SCI WITH A POLYGRAPH CLEARANCE Description The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development of either user interface and or backend code supporting a suite of tools that support Data Lifecycle Management Services DLMS The work includes development of web based UIs RESTful interfaces to various external services test harnesses and system metrics presentation Software is being developed using Java in an OSGi framework Apache Karaf MongoDB a variety of development tools such as Maven and Bamboo and the Angular UI framework Parts of the application will be migrated to vue js from Angular and to Apache Tomcat and Spring from OSGI Required Experience Must meet the Sr SWE LCAT requirements Either front end or backend web application development Java Maven Junit IntelliJ Eclipse or other mainstream IDE Linux VMs Desired Experience MongoDB or Elasticsearch Angular vue js JQuery JavaScript REST Jersey JSON OSGI Apache Karaf or Apache Tomcat or Spring Qualifications At least ten years in software development engineering including requirements analysis software development installation integration evaluation enhancement maintenance testing and problem diagnosis resolution The individual must be able to communicate directions and provide guidance to junior programmer analysts as required At least six years developing software using the Java programming language At least four years of this experience must have been obtained in the last seven years At least four years demonstrated experience developing software for Windows XP Vista UNIX and Linux Redhat versions operating systems At least two years of this experience must have been obtained within the last four years
