Applicants must meet ALL of the following general qualification requirements listed below in order to receive consideration for an intern position.

Grade 04:
  • Current students at least 16 years of age.
  • Completed 2 academic years of post-high school study or associate' degree. Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Public administration, Government, International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Communications, HR, etc-
  • Maintained a 2.5 overall grade point average or higher (on a 4 point scale).

Education is the only thing that will qualify you for these positions. You must have completed 2 years of post-high school education or Associate's degree by the beginning of your summer internship, and must be attending school in the fall.

If you are graduating in the Spring, in order to be eligible, you must submit proof that you will be attending school in the Fall.

If you are a veteran with preference eligibility and are claiming 5-points veterans' preference, you must submit a copy of your DD-214 or other proof of eligibility. If you are claiming 10-point veterans' preference, you must also submit an SF-15, "Application for 10-Point Veterans' Preference" plus the proof required by that form.
