For more information on SCA, visit www.scasurgery.com. Facility Description: The Surgery Center of Easton is a busy multispecialty ASC located in Easton, MD. The surgical center has one OR and one Procedure room. The center specializes in Orthopedics (including total joint replacements), General Surgery, and pain management. Accountabilities / Responsibilities The Surgery Center of Easton is seeking an experienced PACU nurse for a PerDiem position. The PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the facility. Key Responsibilities: * Ability to correlate clinical data with patient's medical and nursing care. * Ability to set priorities. * Ability to provide direction to others that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency throughout the clinical areas of the facility. * Ability to communicate well with patients, families, Teammates, physicians, other members of the healthcare team, etc. * Recognizes legal and policy limits of individual practice. Clinical: * Assesses, plans, evaluates and ensures the implementation of the patient's care to achieve identified outcomes and delivers safe patient care according to facility policy and procedure. * Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and competence of designated skills identified for position in PACU patient care duties. * Post Anesthesia Care * Discharge Care * Completes all documentation to ensure the availability of accurate and up to date information in accordance with established standards. * Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. * Assists with housekeeping tasks as necessary to provide a safe environment for patient's, teammates, physicians, and guests. * Performs all other duties as assigned by manager.
