As a Front End Digital Signage Developer IT, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, software engineers, and analysts to develop innovative applications across a wide range of digital displays for the Airports Authority.

Front End Digital Sign Developer IT

Serves in the Enterprise Business Innovation & Analytics (EBIA) Department.

Partners with business stakeholders, software engineers, and analysts to develop innovative, visually appealing, and user friendly web applications that work across a wide range of digital displays. Assists in continuously innovating, and supports the EBIA team's efforts to create engaging and informative digital display solutions. Performs related functions.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Conceptualizes, designs, and prototypes new features across multiple devices.

Utilizes best-of-breed experience design and design thinking.

Provides expert-level technical support in the design and development of client-side application interfaces for mobile, digital display, kiosk and web applications using a range of technologies and tools.

Participates in user requirement sessions to understand end-user specifications and concerns.

Participates in Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to present strategic data initiative designs.

Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Eight years of progressively responsible experience in IT creating client-side application interfaces for mobile, digital display, kiosk and web applications.

One year of specialized experience in a Front-End/User Experience capacity designing interactive websites and client-side apps for customer audiences.

Expert knowledge of front end applications development and skill in conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping new, interactive features across multiple devices including web sites, mobile apps, digital signage, and kiosks using best-of-breed experience design and design thinking.

Knowledge of and ability to create client-side application interfaces for mobile, digital display, kiosk, and web applications using a range of technologies and tools. (e.g., Node.js, JavaScript Object Notation [JSON], Hyper Text Markup Language [HTML], web Application Program Interfacing [API], Chrome OS ).

Knowledge of and ability to configure audio and video equipment, networking and wireless technologies, and kiosk and wall display installations.

Ability to create digital signage content management with Stratos media.

Skill in digital signage and CRM system integration for effective emergency message handling.

Knowledge of and ability to create and maintain different image formats (SVGs).

Skill in using wayfinding solutions like Locuslabs.

Ability to make detailed analyses of data and information and make recommendations.

Ability to speak and write effectively.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Liberal Arts, or Human Computer Interaction.

Experience designing web and mobile apps.

Experience in software development projects using web and mobile technologies, including HTML, CSS, JS, JavaScript, Angular.js, Node.js, JSON, and web API.

Plugin development experience using Python/Perl scripts.

Hands-on scene creation/content management/streaming experience with Stratos media.


EDUCATION

A Bachelor's Degree in any field.


CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED

A state driver's license in good standing.


NECESSARY SPECIAL FACTORS

Work is typically reviewed in progress upon completion for quantity, quality, timeliness, teamwork, customer service, and other factors.

May be subject to potential hazards common to the airport environment and construction industry. Wears personal protective gear, as necessary.

May be subject to night/weekend work during the installation of new or reconfigured signage.
