Job Summary:

Westat is seeking a research analyst to develop systems to analyze, validate, and distribute research data.  You will collaborate closely with researchers and programmers to support report generation and client requests.

Job Responsibilities:

· Develop programs/systems to analyze, validate, and distribute data. · Write and customize statistical software programs according to specifications. · Generate complex reports and perform statistical analyses. · Conduct data management system oversight (to include inter-data management systems activity). · Statistical model implementation. · Conversion of raw data into databases readily accessible for research. · Collaborate closely with researchers and programmers to support report generation and client requests.

Basic Qualifications:

· A bachelor's degree in social science, computer science or a related statistical field and at least 5 years of analysis/programming experience using statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, Stata, or R is required.
Experience with converting raw data into databases readily accessible for health research is essential. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a multi-project environment.
