Freddie Mac's Customer Education department is seeking a senior-level technical writer / instructional designer to design, develop and implement customer-facing materials across several mediums, including: online help, user guides/training manuals, job aides, tutorials and webinar presentations.
This position is responsible for providing educational support on multiple applications and underwriting policy. Knowledge of the mortgage industry, specifically mortgage underwriting, is a plus.

Candidate must be able to:

*Manage the end-to-end development of training curriculum for assigned applications and projects, including scoping the required resources and timeline to meet project timelines with quality results.
*Partner with training peers and other business areas to assess and analyze the goals and objectives of learning priorities, and design recommendations and strategies for training deliverables using training industry best practices.
*Create and communicate project plans.
*Develop content for different delivery methods selected. For example, online help, user guides/training manuals, job aides, tutorials and webinar presentations.
*Write clear, simple content that speaks to customers in their own language.
*Edit materials for clarity, consistency, and instructional soundness.
*Use business analytical skills to identify gaps within offerings and identify cross-impacts with existing offerings.
*Work with busy subject matter experts (SMEs) in an Agile environment.
*Conduct corporate reviews and resolve review issues. When needed, facilitate meetings with project stakeholders such as SMEs, legal, marketing/communications and other customer-facing areas to highlight and resolve issues.
*Determine and complete changes needed to existing training documentation, while continually looking for ways to improve it.
*Identify new training documentation that may be needed, and existing content that may be retired.
*Ensure instructional design principles and industry standards and specifications are adhered to in all phases of design.

*Bachelor's or Master's degree with 5-10 years of relevant experience
*Experience with Adult Learning Methodologies
*Experience managing software documentation projects
*Managed projects and partnered with various business partners and levels within the organization
*Designed and developed interactive e-Learning programs (incorporating graphics, audio and other media elements)
*Proven professional writing skills and in-depth knowledge of grammar and written styles
*Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, RoboHelp, Articulate 360, Dreamweaver, SnagIt and/or other eLearning programs
