Description: Job Title: Electrical Engineering Job Code: ES20191203-30470 Job Location: Columbia, MD Job Description : HARRIS Corporation is currently searching for a dynamic, success oriented, and autonomous experienced Engineering Technician who enjoys working in a highly motivated and integrated product team involved in the production of custom electronic systems for a variety of US Government customers at our Columbia, MD location. Responsibilities Include: Assists in the design, fabrication, test and check-out of high density electronic and mechanical prototypes for quick paced contracts Must be able to work from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and limited written or verbal instructions Must be able to operate, troubleshoot, calibrate and maintain a host of engineering equipment including network analyzers, scopes and meters and complex equipment including random vibration, temperature/humidity and salt fog test systems Performs engineering level design validation testing and performs root cause analysis of any hardware and software failures of unit under test Supports calibration and maintaining of the sites engineering equipment Required: Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills Requires a Bachelor's degree and 2 plus years of experience working with electronics packaging incorporating high density printed wiring board assemblies, harnesses, antennas and complex mechanical fabrications Must be able to work in a very dynamic development environment and willing to bounce between a variety of tasks Some travel to customer sites may be required Must have an active Secret Level Security Clearance and must meet stringent customer driven security screening requirements. Desired Skills: Microsoft Office Word, Excel skills and PowerPoint Experience with Altium ECAD and SolidWorks MCAD design tools Knowledge of machine tools as well as 3D additive manufacturing printers Active Top Secret Clearance.
