University of Maryland Extension Business Manager Business Manager (Position 103587) - Wye Research and Education Center University of Maryland Extension seeks a full-time Business Manager - Personnel Management. Responsibilities include Hiring Process, Contract Preparation and Renewal, Employment/Separation Paperwork as well as Finance, Budget and Grants. Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in the area of Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance or related field. Two (2) years progressively responsible experience working in a business office in a combination of budgeting, purchasing, hiring, contracts, payroll, and human resources in a University setting; Working knowledge of management principles and accounting practices; Analytical skills to review expenditures and reconcile accounts; Competent skills in math and computer programs, including Excel; Effective verbal and written communication abilities; Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and tact; Ability to work without supervision; team player mentality; ability to multi-task; detail-oriented approach; consistency with follow-through; understanding of College and University procedures and policies, as well as systems such as KFS, BPM, PHR, eTerp, etc. Base Salary $58,000 per year.
