  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field - Facilities Engineering - Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes, as determined by site conditions and applicable safety regulations.
  • This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) participating in facilities-related current and long-range planning meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are fully and effectively related; 2) assisting in and/or directing, controlling, and coordinating operations within a Public Works Department (PWD) by applying a broad knowledge of facilities maintenance and sustainment processes and procedures; 3) assuring quality and timeliness of facilities-related work while incorporating best business practices and a focus on process improvement; 4) coordinating assets (manpower, equipment, materials, funding) for planning and scheduling work; 5) providing expert advice regarding difficult and/or unique facilities issues; and 5) interacting with union officials in accordance with negotiated agreements between the organization and the union.
