SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT: Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the on-line questionnaire. Those applicants who appear to possess at least the minimal acceptable qualification requirement are considered for further rating; those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated. JOB ELEMENTS: Those who meet the minimum level of experience and training for the screen-out element will then be evaluated in each of the following job elements:

Frequently works in confined areas in and around boilers and support equipment; e.g., auxiliary and pollution control equipment. Work requires moderate to strenuous physical effort and long periods of walking, kneeling, standing, climbing, bending, and crouching
Frequently lifts and carries boiler parts, equipment, and chemical supplies weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally items weighing over 50 pounds with assistance of other workers or weight handling equipment.
Employee normally works indoors on concrete surfaces. Occasionally works outside for short periods. When working outside is subject to prevailing weather conditions. Works on catwalks and ladders.
Employee is subject to high temperatures, high noise, rotating machinery, soot, dirt, grease, chemicals, oil, and fumes in the work area.
Exposed to toxic effects of refrigerants and steam temperatures up to 115 degrees.
Subject to cuts and abrasions from use of tools and equipment and burns from acids, caustics, and contact with pipes and boilers.
