  • Minimum Qualifications Requirements: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

    Specialized Experience: Applicants must possess one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band in Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

    In order to qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must meet the specialized experience statement listed below:
    Applicants must possess one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level or pay band in Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: providing position management and classification related consultative and technical services to senior management officials and servicing components; utilizing the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Position Classification Standards, supplemental classification guides, and federal regulations to accurately assign titles, series, and grades to positions; exercising delegated classification authority in developing, evaluating, and certifying position responsibilities; determining effective and economical organizations, position structures, position management policies, practices, and program requirements.

    In order to qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must meet the specialized experience statement listed below:
    Applicants must possess one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level or pay band in Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: providing position management and classification related consultative and technical services to senior management officials and servicing components; utilizing the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Position Classification Standards, supplemental classification guides, and federal regulations to accurately assign titles, series, and grades to positions; exercising delegated classification authority in developing, evaluating, and certifying position responsibilities; determining effective and economical organizations, position structures, position management policies, practices, and program requirements.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Promotion to the next highest grade level is neither guaranteed nor implied.

    NOTE: More than one selection may be made within 90 days of the issuance of the certificate, if additional vacancies occur.

    Education cannot be substituted for specialized experience in order to qualify at this grade level.
