Cybersecurity Analyst and Auditor

Key Role:

Evaluate and support the documentation, validation, assessment, and accreditation processes necessary to ensure IT systems meet the organization's information assurance (IA) and security requirements under general supervision. Assist with planning, developing, monitoring, and conducting IT audits for the organization, including reviewing Linux and Windows system logs, analyzing network traffic, inspecting Web application logs, and correlating events across various logging mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of the organization's IT security. Review and validate the compliance of computing environments against internal policies and procedures for integrity and reliability of information. Evaluate internal controls and processes for compliance with policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. Meet with senior-level managers from multiple organizations to review and analyze security practices for logical, physical, and operational security. Assist with the preparation and reporting of findings and observations.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience in a professional work environment

-Experience with IA standards and policy in the US government, intelligence community (IC), or commercial industry

-Experience with using analytical techniques to assess system and audit issues and develop risk mitigation recommendations

-Ability to assist with the preparation of client-ready, executive-level briefings and reports

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Linux and Windows system administration tools and software, including Active Directory, Splunk, Tenable Nessus, Wireshark, or Snort

-Knowledge of the ICD 503 Risk Management Framework, ISO 27001 international standard, and ISACA auditing standards

-Possession of excellent client relationship and interpersonal skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent time management skills to identify and prioritize tasks

-ISC2 CISSP or ISACA CISA Certification preferred
