Specialized Experience is defined as: Significant experience examining complex bulk power systems engineering threats and vulnerabilities issues of the electric industry and analyzing highly complex electrical networks and/or electric infrastructures.

    • Knowledge of extensive design and operation of the electric power generation and transmission system, the electric power industry, power system reliability and the ability to apply such knowledge to analyze complex electric utility planning, modeling and operations issues.
    • Knowledge about Geomagnetic disturbances (GMD) and Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) and the impacts of those on energy systems and infrastructures.
    • Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team to perform modeling of electric utilites' operations facilities and analyze and interpret results.
    • Skill and ability using one or more engineering software modeling programs such as: PSLF, PSSE, Powerworld and other types of engineering modeling software.
    • Ability to effectively defend and present findings and recommendations in writing.
    • Ability to provide expert level briefings at all levels of government.
