You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent in the Federal service (experience could have been gained in non-Federal positions) working in in the nonprofit arts and/or Media Arts field as an administrator, artist, or in some other capacity that provided you with the following type of experience involved in navigating the field of nonprofit arts administration; receiving and reviewing grants for eligibility and compliance; drafting correspondence; interfacing with community and industry leaders, and understanding field-specific issues at-large; reviewing grant application and applicant program budgets and budget history; developing and managing complex documents through the use of technology (budgets, spreadsheets, slide show presentations, databases; provide advice and guidance about grant/grant application review processes. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Experience may not be substituted for education for this position.
