For a GS-14 position: One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level.

One year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Examples of specialized experience are:
- Managing or leading a team in conducting financial analysis in the areas of surety bonding, insurance and underwriting; AND
- Forecasting financial conditions; AND
- Addressing issues relating to the surety bond guarantee program, its legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
This experience must be clearly referenced in your resume. You must include hours worked per week for each employment entry.
You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies".

Serves as the Supervisory Surety Bond Guarantee Specialist responsible for the management and operation of all aspects of the Claims and Recovery Division. The incumbent provides leadership in developing, implementing, evaluating, and improving processes and procedures to monitor effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the claims and recovery division for the Prior-Approval (Plan A) surety bond guarantee program and the Preferred Surety Bond (PSB or Plan B) Guarantee Program.
SALARY: Those new to the federal government will typically be hired at the lowest rate of the salary range.
- New federal employees will start at the GS-14, Step 1, $114,590.00 per annum.
- The Full Performance Level of this position is a GS-14.
