Job Description

Prestigious law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a US Patent Prosecution Specialist to assist with preparing various client patent applications. This direct hire position requires someone who will prepare and electronically file documents at the USPTO; review for accuracy and prepare reporting letters to the client for Official Filing Receipts, Notices of Publication, Issue Notifications and Recordation of Assignment and; prepare and file requests for corrected Official Filing Receipts.

Job Requirements

Firm requires:

  • Someone with patent experience or patent exposure
  • A 4 year degree
  • At least 1 year office experience
  • Some knowledge of USPTO online sites and related websites like PAIR, EFS and EPAS
  • Some knowledge of docketing database
