Job Summary:

Westat is seeking an experienced a Software/Systems Engineer/Developer with experience in developing ASP.NET websites and applications. The position supports a major long term Federal project providing support to cancer clinical trial systems with thousands of domestic and international users.

Job Responsibilities:

· You will be part of a team of other senior developers and development managers responsible for the development and operations of a complex integrated system of applications and web sites using many different technologies, including .NET, Java, ReactJS and Angular. · A key responsibility will be to support the development and operations of .NET based applications and components. · Provide technical support and leadership in developing system architecture and software component designs as well as code reviews. · Mentor developers and work with sub-contractors and clients.

Basic Qualifications:

· A Bachelor's degree in a computer science or information technology and at least 10 plus years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining object-oriented, multi-tiered ASP.NET application is required. · 5 or more years of object oriented software development experience using .NET technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

· A Master's degree as well as experience in Clinical Trials or other Health system IT. Experience in developing interactive custom dashboard solutions for websites, developing web services and the use of XML technologies as well as experience with database modeling and development using Oracle and PL/SQL is desirable.  Candidates should have excellent communications and writing skills.
